Speech Pathologist

Mona received her Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorders from San Francisco State University in 1981. She has extensive experience working with severely handicapped and severely multiply handicapped children. In addition to staffing The Speech Pathology Groupís Saturday clinic in Walnut Creek, Mona also services children in Special Day Classes for the Contra Costa County Office of Education. She participates in intensive early intervention for children with autism spectrum disorders, utilizing a variety of methods: TEACCH, Naturalistic Language Training, PECS, discrete trial, signing, and alternative and augmentative communication devices.
